We are looking for a reliable and flexible Barista & Bartender to join a busy, community-led hospitality venue. This is a combined role covering both daytime coffee service and evening bar shifts, ideal for someone confident switching between responsibilities and supporting the business across its busiest periods. You’ll work as part of a small, supportive team where flexibility, energy, and a positive attitude are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and hot drinks
- Serve alcohol confidently during evening bar service
- Deliver friendly, efficient customer service at all times
- Operate the till and handle payments accurately
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation
- Support opening and closing duties, including end‑of‑shift cleaning
- Work flexibly across barista and bartender duties based on business needs
Shift Patterns & Working Hours
- Evening Bar Shifts: Thursday to Saturday 4:00pm - close (around 11:00pm). Team typically finished by 11:30pm, including at least one hour of cleaning after close.
- Daytime Barista Shifts: Venue operates 6 days per week. Flexible shift lengths available (short or long shifts). During peak and intense seasonal periods (currently busy), weekend availability is essential, with commitment to at least 1-2 weekend shifts.
This role does not have to be full time. However, candidates must be able to commit to contracted hours and be flexible across both daytime and evening work.
Pay
Pay is subject to experience and demonstrated skill level. All team members start on minimum wage, however this will be reviewed and negotiated for candidates who can clearly demonstrate strong barista and/or bartender skills and relevant experience.

- 18+ and legally able to serve alcohol
- Comfortable working late finishes and busy services
- Flexible, reliable, and confident switching between roles
