Location: Airdrie
Shift Timings: Dayshifts – candidates must be flexible and available to work Monday to Friday
You will be working in a site-based role within the public sector, where officers are responsible for ensuring the safety and security of both staff and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Trained to provide relief cover and support to a portfolio of locations within a geographical region.
- All the tasks and activities as per the site operational guidance and Assignment Instructions.
- Provide quality service delivery.
- Manage and maintain a safe environment for the client's staff and customers.
- Provide a proactive presence in all public facing areas as activity requires.
- This will include providing a positive initial reception for clients and directional guidance.
- Working directly with the customer as part of a team to provide conflict resolution at our client's premises where there is potential for conflict.
- Working closely with your fellow colleagues to ensure members of the public comply with site rules and guidance.
- Use common sense and initiative immediately involving others if a situation becomes threatening.
- To have a smart appearance, always be alert and visible whilst commanding a security presence within the customer premises.
- Be able to administer First Aid assistance if a member of public or client's staff was to be suddenly taken unwell (training will be provided).
- Complete legible incident report writing if and when an incident arises.
- Work to maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for everyone.
Requirements
- SIA License.
- 5-year checkable work/career history.
- Full driving licence and access to own transport is essential.
- Prior experience of working in a customer-facing environment and dealing directly with staff/customers.
- Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
- Possess the ability to work under pressure.
- Flexible attitude and the ability to adapt.
- Security and operational system competence.
