Responsibilities
Collect the children from their local school and nursery, and support them through their after‑school routine, including preparing snacks, engaging in playtime, supporting reading and homework, assisting with mealtimes, and helping with bedtime.
The children enjoy arts and crafts, imaginative play, and spending time outdoors. A nanny who is enthusiastic, creative, and happy to get involved in these activities would be a wonderful fit.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum of 2 years' experience as a nanny
Level 3 Childcare qualification
12 hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate and Enhanced DBS (current)
Full clean driving licence and access to a fully insured vehicle (duty mileage paid); confident driver required.
Working Hours & Compensation
- Location: Colchester, Essex
- Hours: Monday and Friday 2:45pm – 6:30pm; Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 2:45pm – 7:30pm
- Days required: Monday – Friday
- Job Start Date: As soon as possible
- Job End Date: September 2026
- Pay: £18.00 gross per hour (£8,993.00 approximate total for this temporary engagement)

Reference and Insurance Requirements
Applicants must have an up-to-date Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, a 12 hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate, and a minimum of 2 professional referees. One of the references must be your current or last employer, and both must be immediately contactable. Appropriate professional insurance (nanny insurance) is recommended.
