Head-On Electrical is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Admin & Customer Service Apprentice to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable workplace experience within a successful electrical contracting business while working towards a recognised qualification. You'll become an important part of their office team, supporting day-to-day operations, assisting customers, and helping to coordinate electrical works across a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • General office administration, including filing, scanning, and document management
  • Maintaining accurate records using Google Sheets, Microsoft Office, and Sage Accounts software
  • Assisting with purchase orders and processing paperwork
  • Managing electronic and paper filing systems
  • Answering incoming telephone calls and directing enquiries appropriately
  • Responding to customer emails and general enquiries
  • Scheduling appointments and confirming bookings
  • Providing customers with updates on appointments and ongoing works
  • Handling customer queries professionally and efficiently
  • Uploading and managing electrical certification and compliance documentation
  • Maintaining records in line with company procedures
  • Assisting with audits and client information requests
  • Updating engineers' diaries and job management systems
  • Liaising with engineers, supervisors, clients, and suppliers
  • Supporting the maintenance of accreditation and compliance records
  • Working closely with colleagues to ensure efficient day-to-day operations

Skills & Knowledge

  • GCSE Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Friendly and professional telephone manner
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage a varied workload
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work
