About this role

Assessment Centre services are fast paced and focus on rapid turnover to provide short‑stay episodes of care and linkage to suitable long‑term accommodation. You will deliver admission and welfare services to clients who are referred from the street or hostels and work with external partners, including physical health, mental health, substance use and housing. The role exists 24 hours a day and has a key responsibility to clear vacancies quickly and to keep the service compliant with Health and Safety and fire safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all Housing Benefit claims are made and monitored for residents at Lambeth Assessment Centre
  • Log and manage all maintenance and repairs for the building
  • Contribute towards a fast turnover for void rooms in the service
  • Work with the management team to ensure that the service and building are Health and Safety compliant
  • Work with the management team to ensure that the service and building are fire compliant
  • Develop strong relationships with external contractors
