Our client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team in London, Kingston, or Kitchener, Ontario. As a technical leader, you will oversee mechanical projects, provide design strategies, and mentor junior engineers. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Reviewing and stamping mechanical projects of varying complexities
  2. Leading design strategies and concept development
  3. Providing technical leadership and mentoring to intermediate and junior engineers
  4. Conducting audits, feasibility assessments, and investigations
  5. Developing mechanical design standards and practices
  6. Troubleshooting construction issues
  7. Collaborating with clients, contractors, and other engineering disciplines
  8. Conducting site visits and construction phase services

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in building services
  2. Engineering license in Ontario with at least 5 years of Canadian experience
  3. Design experience with central plant systems (hot water, steam, chilled water)
  4. Knowledge of DDC control systems and sequencing
  5. Familiarity with OBC, ASHRAE, CSA, and ASPE standards
  6. Experience in multiple industries (commercial, industrial, educational, healthcare, etc.)
  7. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  8. Ability to multitask and work under deadlines
