About the Role

We're looking for a motivated and hands-on Cook to join our team. This dynamic role involves preparing seasonal dishes, supporting kitchen operations, and occasionally assisting with front-of-house service during busy periods and events. You'll work closely with the Venue Manager to maintain high standards and help shape our evolving menu.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items using fresh, seasonal ingredients
  • Assist with menu planning and updates in collaboration with the Venue Manager
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards, including dishwashing and cleaning down
  • Manage stock rotation, stocktake, and ordering of supplies
  • Support floor service during busy periods and events
  • Train and guide team members on meal preparation for continuity during leave days
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and WHS standards
  • Provide excellent customer service when required

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Kitchen experience and a passion for cooking
  • Current Food Handling Certificate and RSA Certificate
  • Availability for Thursday, Friday, weekends, and events
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Desirable:

  • Experience in menu planning with seasonal and organic produce
  • Previous restaurant service experience and POS familiarity
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, Canva)
