The Opportunity
We are seeking a Nurse Unit Manager to lead our Mental Health Unit Ramsay Clinic Orange. Located at Dudley Private Hospital Orange our Clinic offers advanced treatment and holistic care options. We operate both Inpatient and Outpatient Programs supporting specialised treatment for anxiety mood disorders and general mental health disorders. As the Nurse Unit Manager you will be taking on a key leadership role within the unit working closely with the hospital executive and management teams to ensure the efficient management of staff and resources with the overall goal of ensuring excellence in care delivery.
Reporting into the Director of Clinical Services you will be mentoring and leading a passionate team of nurses and clinical support staff.
Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role you will be a leader with a passion for seeing your team members succeed and grow with a focus on education training and skill‑based learning. You hold exceptional communication skills and have the ability to inspire, motivate and mentor your team.
You will also demonstrate the following
- Relevant registration with AHPRA as Registered Nurse.
- Minimum of five years experience in the mental health nursing specialty
- Experience in a leadership or management role
- Proven ability to effectively plan and manage financial human and material resources
- Ability to plan, develop, implement and evaluate continuous improvement program
- Ability to apply research findings to clinical practice
Highly desirable
- Post graduate studies in nursing leadership
- Sound computer skills in MS Office suite including Excel
Remuneration
On offer is base hourly salary of $68.49 superannuation exclusive of penalties or allowances.
