Are you an experienced Mental Health Nurse looking to step into a pivotal leadership role? Our 21-bed Adult Mental Health Unit is seeking a senior Nurse to join our dynamic and supportive team. Working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager you will contribute to the day-to-day operational management of the Unit including rostering, driving staff development and providing hands-on clinical support to staff. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your leadership capabilities and grow your career within a collaborative mental health environment.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to day-to-day operational management of the Unit

- Provide hands-on clinical support to staff
- Collaborate with the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure high-quality patient care
Qualifications
You will be a passionate mentor to your team and have the capacity to inspire them to leadership. Management experience is desirable; this role will also suit an experienced Nurse looking to step up into a leadership position. You will also demonstrate:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in an acute healthcare setting with 3 in a mental health environment
- Post-graduate certificate desirable though not essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
- Availability to work across a rotating 7-day roster
Remuneration
A base hourly rate ranging from $55.92 - $57.76 per hour; superannuation applicable and penalty rates. Based on experience level and qualifications (VIC ANUM/AMUM Year 1-2).

Requirements
- Provide or complete a National Police Check conducted within the last 12 months
- According to the role Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
