Calor is an exciting and inspiring company to work for, where investment in our people's skills and knowledge is integral to our success. We ensure a supportive and inclusive working environment which is underpinned by our culture of expertise, safety and trust.

As the lead supplier in the UK LPG market, Calor has continued to develop and diversify, ensuring that our service offering is expansive, progressive and relevant to our customers. It is our people that enable us to do that, which is why they are the heart of our business.

Calor are looking for a flexible and motivated Gas Service Engineer to join our field-based Assets team, providing engineering services and emergency response to Calor customers in the area. Predominately working outdoors, key responsibilities will include:

  • Installing and maintaining Calor’s bulk tanks and assets (full training given) at customer sites
  • Participation in travel (van and fuel provided) in order to meet customer service standards for our largely rural customer base
  • Participation in a Standby Rota to respond to gas emergencies out of normal working hours

This role requires a flexible, positive and adaptable approach. Please note this vacancy does NOT involve servicing or working on gas appliances.

This is a great opportunity for a newly qualified gas engineer with minimal experience, to join the market leading LPG supplier and continue to develop and be trained as an LPG engineer. You will need excellent problem solving and communication skills, be confident working on your own initiative on customer sites, and enjoy working mainly outdoors. A willingness to support other team members and colleagues is expected.

We are looking for:

  • Someone who has recently retrained as a gas engineer with a minimum of Core Gas Safety (CCN1)
  • Previous 'hands on' gas industry experience is essential and customer care experience
  • Any relevant gas engineering experience would be considered useful and an understanding of LPG and the installation and maintenance of bulk LPG tanks and cylinders would be a distinct advantage
  • A full UK driving license is essential
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and industry standards, including Health and Safety awareness

Calor is a company where performance is rewarded and backed up by training and career development opportunities. We value innovation and ideas, so if you have the skills and energy, then join us and you'll quickly find that the rewards and progression opportunities are unrivalled.

If you are successful in being offered this role, you will be required to carry out pre-employment checks including: 5-year address history, 3-year employment history, financial check, criminal record check, and driving license verification and you must be medically fit to work.

To be considered for the above opportunity you must be eligible to live and work in the UK and hold a full driving license that is valid for you to drive in the UK.

Calor Gas Ltd. adhere to ethical recruiting methods ensuring that we do not discriminate against any candidate because of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.
