Job Bridge Global is looking for a highly skilled Specialist Machining Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining advanced machining equipment to produce precision components for various engineering projects. Your expertise in machining processes and attention to detail will be crucial in achieving high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide technical support in the field of Specialist Machining to support the continued growth and development of the clients Valve Refurbishment and Cross Fleet Tube Plugging and On-Site Machining products.
- To assist with the upkeep and maintenance of department bespoke equipment.
- To support the delivery of Specialist Machining on our customer sites and within clients facilities. This may include on-site customer communications and interactions.
- To support, under the guidance of the senior technicians, the conclusion of unplanned technical challenges that may occur during the on-site delivery of the products.
- To support expansion opportunities, product development and CapEx requirements that are fully aligned to our clients customer needs and their Asset Management growth strategy.
- A key element of this role is extended and short notice site delivery requirements. Therefore a willingness to upskill and a desire to travel to our various customer sites often at short notice is requirement of the position.
- Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Conduct quality checks and inspections on machined components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to maintain production efficiency.
- Maintain equipment and ensure a clean working environment.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols.
- Proven experience as a Machining Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes and techniques.
- Experience with CNC machinery, programming, and setup.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid machining certification or equivalent qualification.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols in a machining environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Recognised qualification such as SVQ, ONC or City and Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or similar. Alternatively qualifications may be replaced by proven track record and applicable experience in a similar role in line with experience requirements below.

Technical competence (on conclusion of training) in the Operation of the following equipment
· Cross Fleet Tube Plugging Equipment
· Valve Seat Replacement Equipment
· General & Bespoke Machining Equipment
GENERAL COMPETENCIES
· Appreciation of welding techniques
· Basic Knowledge of Codes, Legislation, Company standards and quality procedures.
· Basic Commercial Awareness particularly relating to change management.
· Development of creative and innovative skills.
· Effective writing and communication skills.
Active member of team and ability to work under tight deadlines
Certificate of Sponsorship, Immigration Charge, Visa Entry, Visa Health surcharge and Flight costs included
Accommodation provided for 1 month upon arrival.
