Overview
Job Bridge Global is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive testing strategies for various projects to ensure they meet quality, reliability, and performance standards. You will work closely with project teams to identify testing requirements, create detailed test plans, and lead testing activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- To produce Test and Equipment Qualification technical tenders which meet our customers requirements, having clear capture strategies and which can be delivered safely on time and to budget.
- Project Lead on Test and Equipment Qualification contracts ensuring that all technical and project requirements are suitably managed, addressed and delivered in a safe manner and within budget.
- To lead project kick off meetings, Safe Setting to work Toolbox talks and oversight of project activates carried out by other Asset Management functions.
- To provide expertise in the field of Testing and Equipment Qualification in support of the Department’s activities.
- To interpret client project requirements and specify test rig set-up, instrumentation and data acquisition needs to fulfil contractual agreements.
- To carry out concept design and subsequent calculations on bespoke test rigs fabricated within the department to carry out component testing contracts.
- To project manage allocated TEQ projects to safe on time and on budget completion.
- Assist with the negotiation of and capturing of any contractual variations to the original defined work scope.
- To ensure that all test contracts are professionally presented and always fit for visitor viewing.
- To stop any work being carried out within bay/lab environments which is deemed not in-line with the standards expected.
Key Duties
- Leading of Test and Equipment Qualification projects.
- Preparation of all Control of Work and project documentation including Safe Systems of Work.
- Leading toolbox talks and project kick offs.
- Liaison with other Asset Management functions as required to ensure timely completion of projects by SQEP personnel.
- Basic structural / concept design and calculation of bespoke basic test rigs required to carry out Department contracts
- Specification of instrumentation and data acquisition test set-up to meet client test programme requirements.
- Preparation of tenders
- Project manage and lead Equipment Qualification test programmes
- Analyse data generated from Equipment Qualification tests
- Provide technical support to Asset Management Contracts
- Write reports and technical documents
- Occasional site based work will form a part of this role.
Qualifications
- Bachelor\’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Test Engineer, with a focus on complex systems and applications.
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in leading and mentoring junior engineers is a plus.
- Knowledge of version control systems and agile methodologies.
- Relevant certifications in testing or quality assurance (preferred).
