Position Overview: As a Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care. You will collaborate with healthcare teams to implement effective strategies and maintain high standards of nursing practice in accordance with regulatory requirements.

What you will do:

  • Functions as primary manager for staff nurses within the outpatient divisions.
  • Works with staff RN to coordinate the medical care of patients within service line.
  • Conducts the evaluation, planning, development, and implementation of MLH operations and MLH goals and objectives while coordinating and developing policies, procedures, processes and projects for the assigned program, clinic, or service.
  • Promotes patient and family centered care through implementation of professional role.
  • Communicates effectively to provide optimal patient care and promotes professional climate throughout the facility.
  • Assures patient continuity of care with multi-disciplinary team members.

Requirements:

Education/Formal Training Requirements: Bachelor's Degree Nursing- RN

Work Experience Requirements: 1-3 years Clinical healthcare (acute or hospital), Pediatric

Licenses and Certifications Requirements: BASIC LIFE SUPPORT, Registered Nurse

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in computer operations acquired either through work experience or education, including word processing and spreadsheet programs.
  • Ability to understand and prepare moderately complex written materials.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work without close supervision and to exercise independent judgment.
  • Ability to organize multiple tasks and projects and maintain control of workflow.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations as would be acquired through completion of high school.
  • Understanding of basic research principles and scientific methods.

Supervision Provided by this Position: Supervises all clinical and support staff assigned to the clinic.

Physical Demands: The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. Must have good balance and coordination. The physical requirements of this position are: light work - exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently. The Associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading. The conditions to which the Associate will be subject in this position: The Associate is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions; job functions are typically performed under conditions such as those found in general office or administrative work.
