About Our Client
Our client is a family run specialist stone masonry company delivering high-quality natural stone products to the UK construction industry for a variety of residential, commercial, and heritage projects. They are looking for a detail-oriented and driven person with strong administration skills to assist their drafting and estimating team and develop their role as a Trainee Estimator on a part-time basis. This is an ideal opportunity for someone keen to develop their career in the construction or masonry sector. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing accurate pricing estimates for construction supply projects.
- Read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and measurements.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain material and labour quotes.
- Support the preparation of quotations, tenders, and project pricing documents.
- Work closely with the operations and project teams to ensure smooth handover of successful estimates.
Skills & Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and good numerical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic IT tools.
- Good communication and organisational abilities.
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
