Warehouse Operative - PPT Driver
Location: Worksop
Hours: Day shift, either 7am-3pm or 8am-4pm, with overtime opportunities available.
Start Date: ASAP. This position is a temp to perm position.
Duties of a Warehouse Operative:
- Operate a PPT (Powered Pallet Truck) safely and efficiently to move stock around the warehouse.
- Pick, move and prepare stock for dispatch in line with operational requirements.
- Load, unload and transport pallets safely within the warehouse.
- Assist with goods-in and goods-out activities, ensuring stock is handled correctly.
- Check stock and deliveries for accuracy, reporting any discrepancies or damaged goods.
- Ensure pallets are moved and stored in the correct locations.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Follow all site health and safety procedures and operational guidelines.
- Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure daily targets and deadlines are met.
What we are looking for:
- A valid PPT licence/certificate is essential.
- Previous experience operating a powered pallet truck in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Previous warehouse experience, ideally involving goods-in, goods-out or dispatch.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
- A reliable, proactive attitude with a strong focus on safety.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work either advertised day shift and undertake overtime when required.
- Availability to start ASAP.
