Are you an experienced Legal Assistant or Team Assistant with a background in property law, looking for a stable, long-term opportunity within a supportive and established team? We are currently recruiting for a Team Assistant to join a busy Commercial Property team in Milton Keynes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys being at the heart of a legal team, providing high-quality administrative support and helping everything run smoothly. Previous property experience is essential for this role. Ideally, you will have worked within Commercial Property, however candidates with solid Residential Property experience will also be considered. The hiring manager is particularly looking for someone who enjoys working within legal administration and support and is looking for stability and longevity within this type of position, rather than someone whose longer-term ambition is to progress into a fee-earning role.

Duties of the Team Assistant:
- Providing comprehensive administrative support to the Commercial Property team
- Managing the administrative aspects of legal matters from file opening through to file closure
- Ensuring compliance, file organisation and records are kept fully up to date
- Producing, formatting and managing legal documents and correspondence
- Transcribing digital dictation
- Providing extensive diary and inbox management for lawyers
- Managing incoming and outgoing post, emails and electronic documentation
- Keeping lawyers updated on tasks, deadlines and key dates
- Supporting with billing, payment requests, credit control and other matter-related financial administration
- Processing new client enquiries and acting as a professional first point of contact
- Liaising with clients via telephone, email and face-to-face
- Supporting with general office duties, including reception cover when required
- Working collaboratively with other Team Assistants and providing cover during periods of absence
- Using systems and technology effectively to improve efficiency and ways of working
What we would like from you:
- Previous Commercial Property experience would be highly desirable
- As a minimum, you must have previous Residential Property experience
- Previous experience within a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, Team Assistant or similar legal support position
- A genuine desire to build a long-term career within legal administration and support
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
- Confidence managing multiple priorities, diaries and deadlines
- Strong communication and client service skills
- A professional, personable and collaborative approach
- Good IT and document production skills
- An understanding of confidentiality
