About our client:
Our client is a well-established and growing business looking to recruit a proactive and organised Sales Administrator to join their collaborative team in Stevenage. This role will focus on managing customer orders, maintaining accurate records, supporting Account Managers and ensuring a smooth customer experience from order placement through to delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in sales administration, customer service or internal sales support who enjoys working in a fast-paced commercial environment and being a key part of a successful team.

Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality sales administration support to a broad customer base
- Act as a key point of contact for allocated customers, supporting Account Managers to ensure customer requirements are met
- Process customer orders accurately via telephone, email and online systems
- Manage orders from receipt through to delivery, ensuring customers are updated on progress, delays or any changes
- Handle customer enquiries, quotations and product information requests
- Manage inbound and outbound customer communication professionally and efficiently
- Resolve customer queries and complaints, ensuring a positive customer experience
- Liaise with internal departments, suppliers and external stakeholders to ensure orders are fulfilled correctly
- Support Account Managers and Business Development teams with day-to-day customer requirements
- Identify opportunities to upsell products, services or alternative solutions where appropriate
- Maintain accurate customer records and data across internal systems
- Support with pricing information, stock availability and credit note administration where required
- Assist with reporting and ensure commercial information is recorded accurately
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience within sales administration, sales support, customer service or internal sales
- Experience processing customer orders within an ERP or similar business system would be advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with a methodical and organised approach
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with customers and colleagues
- Confident managing multiple priorities within a busy environment
- Commercial awareness with an interest in supporting business operations and customer relationships
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word
- Ability to learn new systems quickly and maintain accurate records
- Positive, proactive and team-focused approach
