Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a leading manufacturing business who are looking for an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Lead to join their team in Sheffield.
This is a hands‑on HSE role supporting the site leadership team and helping to drive high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance across the business.
The role
- Coordinate the site's HSE activities, risk assessments and improvement plans.
- Maintain HSE policies, procedures, Contractor Control and Permit to Work systems.
- Lead HSE inspections, audits and external ISO 45001 audits.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, including RIDDOR reporting and corrective actions.
- Keep on top of changes to HSE legislation and close compliance gaps.
- Coordinate HSE training, inductions and competency records.
- Manage Fire Safety and Radiation Protection on site.
- Support occupational health, PPE/RPE, welfare and insurance requirements.
- Drive continual HSE improvement across the site and support the wider Sheffield operation.
About you
We're looking for an experienced HSE professional with:
- NEBOSH Certificate
- Strong experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Experience with risk assessments, audits, investigations and HSE compliance.
- The confidence to work with everyone from shop floor to senior management.
- ISO 45001 auditing experience
