Senior Print Production Operative to join our client's creative and wide-format print studio in London.
The
Senior Print Production Operative is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the production process, ensuring jobs are executed efficiently, on schedule, as specified, and to the highest quality standards.
This role requires someone with a hands-on approach and involves managing production staff, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and maintaining the operational effectiveness of the production workflow.

Hours
Monday-Friday. 8:30am-5:30pm.
Salary
- £38,000 - £43,000 depending on experience - with review after 6 months

- Senior Print Production Operative Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and oversee all production activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
- Manage production schedules, specifications, materials and workflows to maximise efficiency and minimise waste.
- Monitor and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all finished products meet client and company expectations.
- Lead, support and develop the production team, including Large and Small Format Printer/Finisher Operators.
- Recruit, train and supervise temporary production staff as required.
- Allocate workloads, monitor performance and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
- Work closely with Account Managers to deliver client requirements and resolve production issues efficiently.
- Liaise with external suppliers to source materials and outsourced services at competitive rates.
- Oversee the maintenance and efficient operation of all production equipment, recommending upgrades where appropriate.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity, reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Monitor production performance and prepare reports on KPIs and continuous improvement.

- Proven experience in a Production Manager role within the print industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of print production processes, materials and equipment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency in production planning software and relevant digital tools.
- Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation within a production environment.
