Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract: Permanent following a successful 3-month trial period
We're currently looking for a Forklift Driver to join a well-established local business in Leiston, known for looking after its staff and offering real stability.
You'll need a valid Counterbalance forklift licence and a full UK C1 driving licence, as the role includes collecting parts from local suppliers in company vehicles. Previous warehouse or stores experience is preferred, but we're mostly looking for someone reliable, proactive and good with the details.
Forklift Driver duties:
- Operating a Counterbalance forklift truck safely and efficiently
- Processing goods inwards and outwards
- Picking and packing parts accurately
- Maintaining stock accuracy and inventory records
- Loading and unloading deliveries
- Transporting materials around the warehouse and site
- Collecting parts and materials from local suppliers using company vehicles
- Carrying out regular stock checks and supporting stores operations
What we're looking for:
- Valid Counterbalance forklift licence
- Full UK C1 driving licence
- Previous warehouse or stores experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
- A reliable, proactive approach to work
