Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a growing medical device manufacturer who are looking for a QC Supervisor / Team Leader to join their Leeds site.

This is a hands-on role where you'll lead a small Quality Control and Receiving Inspection team, making sure incoming materials and finished products meet the required quality and regulatory standards.

The role

  • Lead and support a team of Quality Inspectors and Technicians.
  • Allocate workloads and provide day-to-day technical guidance.
  • Act as the escalation point for inspection issues and non-conformances.
  • Carry out and oversee product testing, inspection and final release.
  • Complete First Article Inspections (FAI).
  • Support supplier and incoming inspection activities.
  • Identify training needs and develop the team.
  • Help drive improvements across quality and inspection processes.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing and other teams.

About you

We're looking for someone with

  • Previous Quality Inspection/Receiving Inspection experience within a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Ideally, experience within medical devices, particularly Class II/III products.
  • At least 3 years' team leader/supervisory experience.
  • HNC/HND/Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Good knowledge of ISO 13485, EU MDR and FDA 21 CFR Part 820.
  • Strong people skills and the confidence to make technical decisions.
  • A hands-on approach and the ability to work in a cleanroom environment.
