Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a manufacturing business in West Yorkshire to recruit a Head of Engineering.
As the business continues to grow, Head of Engineering will play a key leadership role, reporting directly to the Managing Director and taking overall responsibility for the engineering function, delivering strategic objectives and driving operational performance across the organisation.
- Act as the technical authority for engineering and regulatory compliance, supporting quality and compliance audits.
- Oversee the design and development of products, ensuring projects are delivered cost-effectively, on time, and in line with customer requirements
- Drive the engineering R&D programme, identifying future market opportunities and implementing cost-reduction initiatives
- Serve as the company's technical representative with customers, industry bodies, standards committees, and trade associations
- Provide expert guidance on design, engineering standards, and technical specifications across the business.
- Maintain and develop a comprehensive database of customer and industry specifications, particularly within highly regulated environments
We are looking for Head of Engineer with the following:
- Degree qualified within a relevant Engineering field
- Proven experience in a senior engineering leadership or engineering management role within manufacturing or industrial engineering.
- Experience leading product development, R&D programmes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to support customers and sales teams on technical matters.
- Skilled in driving cross-functional collaboration and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to develop teams and deliver measurable operational improvements
