PRIVATE EQUITY / INVESTMENT FUND CFO LONDON / ZURICH WSR is seeking an experienced CFO for a boutique international investment firm operating across the UK and continental Europe. This is not simply a reporting appointment. The CFO will sit alongside the senior leadership team and help build the financial infrastructure, institutional intelligence and commercial insight required for the fund's next phase of growth.

THE MANDATE

  • Own financial strategy, planning, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Lead accounting, consolidation, management and investor reporting.
  • Oversee cash flow, liquidity and capital planning.
  • Strengthen financial controls, governance, systems and processes.
  • Establish technologically advanced reporting, analytics and decision-support capability.
  • Improve how organisational decisions, assumptions and outcomes are captured β€” building institutional decision memory over time.
  • Develop meaningful KPI and portfolio-performance reporting.
  • Lead audit, tax and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Manage relationships with auditors, banks, tax advisers and other stakeholders.
  • Support transactions, valuations and investment activity.
  • Build and develop a high-performing finance capability.
  • Partner with senior leadership to improve the quality and speed of strategic decision-making.

THE PROFILE

  • CFO or senior finance leadership experience within private markets, investment management or alternative assets.
  • ACCA qualified, or equivalent recognised professional accountancy qualification.
  • MBA qualified, ideally from a leading international business school.
  • Experience within a substantial AUM environment.
  • Strong pan-European deal exposure.
  • Experience operating across international and multi-entity structures.
  • Deep understanding of reporting, controls and governance.
  • Track record implementing advanced financial technology, reporting and management-information environments.
  • Evidence of building or professionalising a finance function.
  • An interest in using technology to improve institutional intelligence and decision-making.
  • Strong commercial judgement β€” not simply technical accounting capability.
  • Credibility with Investment Partners, Boards, investors, banks and advisers.
  • Fluent English essential; German advantageous.
