OA Recruitment are currently recruiting for Production Operatives on behalf of our client, a well-established manufacturing business based in Biggleswade. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company with the potential for a temporary-to-permanent position for the right candidates.
Hours and Pay
- We have vacancies available on the following shifts:
- Rotating shifts: 6:00am - 2:00pm / 2:00pm - 10:00pm
- Night shift: 10:00pm - 6:00am
- Candidates must be flexible to work the shift pattern required.
- Starting rate: £12.90 per hour
- After 12 weeks: £14.19 per hour
- Overtime paid at enhanced rates where applicable.
Duties of a Production Operative
As a Production Operative, you will play a key role in the manufacturing process. Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating production machinery safely and efficiently.
- Weighing and preparing raw materials in line with production specifications.
- Monitoring production processes to ensure products meet quality standards.
- Loading and unloading materials and finished products.
- Packing, labelling, and preparing products for dispatch.
- Carrying out basic quality checks and reporting any faults or defects.
- Maintaining a clean and organised working environment.
- Following all health and safety procedures, company policies, and hygiene standards at all times.
- Working as part of a team to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
