Forklift Driver
Location: Basildon, Essex
Pay Rate: £14.35 per hour
Contract: Temporary
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm
We are currently recruiting for a Forklift Driver to join an established and growing company based in Basildon, Essex.
This is a temporary opportunity with the potential for long-term employment, offering the chance to join a business that is expanding and investing in its workforce.
Please note: A full UK driving licence is essential, as the role involves operating forklifts on public roads.
Responsibilities of the Forklift Driver:
- Operating a counterbalance forklift to load and unload vehicles
- Picking, packing and preparing goods for dispatch
- Completing relevant paperwork and system checks
- Supporting general warehouse duties and maintaining high housekeeping standards
- Carrying out manual handling tasks as required
The ideal Forklift Driver:
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential)
- Full, clean UK driving licence (essential)
- Minimum of two years' forklift driving experience
- Previous experience within a Logistics, Distribution and supply chain enviroment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive, reliable and hardworking attitude
