About the Role

Our client is a leading facilities management and infrastructure services provider supporting one of the UK’s largest military estates, delivering essential accommodation, maintenance, construction, and support services across complex operational environments. The organisation works in partnership with the Ministry of Defence to ensure high standards of compliance, operational performance, and service delivery for military personnel and their families. Reporting to the Head of Quality, the Business Assurance Manager will play a central role in ensuring the continued effectiveness, compliance, and improvement of the integrated management systems across the organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional with strong auditing expertise and a passion for continuous improvement to play a key role within a forward thinking and complex operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver audit programmes across technical and non-technical departments, including leading multi-functional audit teams
  • Plan, conduct, and report audits in a timely and professional manner
  • Support the embedding of ISO standards and quality management principles across the business
  • Facilitate assurance activities and produce evidence-based compliance reports
  • Conduct inspections, monitoring, and sampling to ensure contractual, statutory, and legal compliance
  • Evaluate subcontractor performance relating to quality and compliance
  • Manage audit records within the IFS system, including raising NCRs for the Business Centre
  • Support the management of non-conformances, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Work collaboratively with Process Owners and Champions to identify process improvement opportunities
  • Maintain and administer Management Systems
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and subcontractors to drive continuous service improvement

About You

You will thrive in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment and bring a collaborative approach to driving compliance, assurance, and continuous improvement activities across the business.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • IRCA Certified Internal Auditor qualification
  • Proven experience within a Quality Management, Assurance, or Compliance role
  • Experience working within multi-disciplined teams and leading audit activities
  • Sound working knowledge of ISO Management System Standards, including ISO9001
  • Experience supporting and maintaining integrated management systems
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and challenge constructively
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and report writing skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes, including Excel, Visio, and MS Project
  • Knowledge and understanding of Data Protection practices

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience within the Facilities Management sector (hard and/or soft services preferred)
  • Alternatively, experience gained within construction, defence, infrastructure, engineering, or service-led environments
  • Experience working on large PFI contracts would be advantageous
  • Degree educated or equivalent
  • Membership of the Chartered Quality Institute (or working towards)
  • Quality Management qualification
  • IRCA Lead Auditor certification
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or working towards)
  • Knowledge of ISO 44001:2017 Collaborative Business Relationships
