Our client is a charity providing expert hospice care to over 500 children, young adults and families across central southern England. Their work is rooted in compassion, collaboration and excellence, supporting those with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.

As People (HR) Manager, you will play a key role as a trusted partner to Care Clinical teams, championing people practices that enable colleagues to deliver outstanding care. Reporting to the Director of People Culture, this is a highly visible role combining operational leadership with strategic project work. You will work closely with leaders across the organisation, with a particular focus on Care Clinical services, ensuring robust safeguarding practices, strong partnerships, and a people-first approach to decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a proactive business partner to Care Clinical teams, providing expert HR guidance and day-to-day support aligned to service needs.
  • Serve as a visible brand ambassador for organisational values, embedding them into everyday behaviours, leadership practices and team culture.
  • Lead on employee relations, ensuring fair, compassionate and consistent handling of cases, with a strong emphasis on wellbeing and safeguarding.
  • Champion safeguarding practices across the workforce, ensuring compliance and promoting a culture of vigilance and accountability.
