The Role
The Business Development Manager will play a key role in delivering the sales strategy across B2B channels. The role combines strategic business development with hands-on account management and relationship building.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of commercial sales strategy across trade and retail channels
- Drive revenue growth, gross margin, and product mix across assigned partner accounts
- Develop, manage, and grow key trade and retail relationships
- Identify, evaluate, and convert new business opportunities within trade, retail, and B2B markets
- Support the growth of a direct B2B commercial sales channel
- Work closely with retail partners to maximise sales performance
- Provide commercial insight to support leadership decision-making
- Collaborate with Marketing to optimise promotional investment and campaign activity
- Support national and regional promotions, partner events and exhibitions
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure aligned delivery against objectives
- Share market insight and customer feedback to support product and business development
- Support sales and product training initiatives
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a business development or senior sales role
- Proven track record of winning new business and growing existing accounts
- Strong commercial and analytical capability
- Confident influencer with partners and internal stakeholders
- Proactive, self-driven, and solutions-focused
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
