We're partnering with a highly regarded financial services organisation to appoint a HR Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. The Role
This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll oversee the full employee lifecycle, provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters, and act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, coaching, and developing a team of 3 HR professionals
- Managing day-to-day HR operations and ensuring the delivery of an exceptional HR service
- Acting as the escalation point for complex employee relations cases
- Providing expert advice on disciplinary, grievance, performance management, and organisational change matters
- Partnering with business leaders to deliver pragmatic and commercially focused HR solutions
- Supporting recruitment strategy, workforce planning, and talent initiatives
- Leading and contributing to HR projects, policy development, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation and regulatory requirements within a regulated environment
About You
We're looking for a confident and credible HR professional who can quickly establish themselves as a trusted partner across the organisation. To be successful, you'll have:
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or Senior HR Business Partner
- Expert-level knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations
- Strong experience managing complex ER casework from start to finish
- Previous experience leading or mentoring HR team members
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery
- Experience within financial services or another regulated environment would be highly advantageous
- CIPD Level 5 qualified as a minimum (Level 7 preferred or equivalent experience)
