Our client, in the events industry is looking for a permanent Fleet and Compliance Manager to join their team based in North Leeds. We’re looking for a proactive and experienced candidate to take ownership of the vehicle operations and ensure our client is staying ahead of industry standards and regulations.

In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the company’s fleet of vehicles, ensuring full legal compliance, minimising downtime, and supporting operational readiness for high-profile events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the company’s fleet, including HGVs, vans, and support vehicles.
  • Ensure full compliance with DVSA, FORS, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vehicle records, maintenance logs, and inspection reports.
  • Schedule and oversee regular servicing, MOTs, tachograph analysis, and driver checks.
  • Act as primary point of contact for all fleet-related matters including roadside incidents.
  • Investigate accidents and liaise with the fleet insurance policy providers.
  • Conduct internal audits and work closely with third-party compliance bodies.
  • Collaborate with project and logistics teams to plan fleet availability for live events.
  • Deliver regular driver briefings and training, promoting safety and best practices.
  • Assist in the procurement and disposal of fleet vehicles, tracking lifecycle and costs.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven experience in fleet management and compliance.
  • Previous experience in plant/agricultural or vehicle repair environment. Flat Trailer experience (desirable).
  • Strong knowledge of transport legislation, vehicle safety, and fleet technologies.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Great communication skills and a collaborative approach.
  • Competent with fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (National CPC License).
