Ultrasound Sales & Clinical Specialist | J&J MedTech | Cardiovascular
Johnson & Johnson MedTech is seeking an Ultrasound Sales & Clinical Specialist to support the south of the UK. This role blends deep clinical expertise with commercial accountability to drive adoption and utilization of intracardiac echocardiography (ICE) and compatible ultrasound systems within the EP lab.
What to expect
- Clinical Expertise & Support: Serve as the primary clinical guide on EP ultrasound systems (e.g., Soundstar ICE catheters, CARTO 3 System integration) within assigned accounts. Provide on-site, hands-on clinical support and mentorship to physicians, nurses, and technicians during electrophysiology procedures (e.g., AFib ablations, VT ablations, LAA closures). Educate staff on system setup, image acquisition, interpretation, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Deliver clinical presentations and demonstrations illustrating clinical and economic value. Collaborate with the Johnson & Johnson EP team for cohesive account management and customer support.
- Sales & Business Development: Develop and execute a strategic plan to meet and exceed sales targets for the ultrasound portfolio in the assigned territory. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, nurture key relationships with KOLs, physicians, department heads, and procurement teams. Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation and capital quoting to negotiation and closing. Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy. Represent J&J at national/regional congresses and workshops.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Life Science, Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Clinical Specialist, Applications Specialist, or Sales Representative within the medical device industry.
- Hands-on clinical experience with ultrasound systems; experience with ICE or TEE in an EP lab setting is helpful.
- Strong understanding of electrophysiology procedures and cardiac anatomy; excellent presentation and communication skills; able to educate a clinical audience.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work autonomously to lead a territory.
- Willingness to travel extensively (up to 70%) across the UK and accommodate flexible hours for procedural support.
- Full, clean UK driving license.

- Existing relationships with key EP centers and consultants in the UK.
- Formal sales training and a proven track record of meeting/exceeding targets.
