Azure Cloud Engineer – Warwickshire – £60-70,000
We are currently working with a reputable business in Northamptonshire that is actively recruiting for an Azure Cloud Engineer to join on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that has a reputation for developing people and promoting from within.
The key purpose of the role is to drive forward the company’s work with Azure, acting as a subject matter expert regarding Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps principles and best practices.
This is a hybrid position with 1-2 days per week on-site.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring a smooth rollout of DevOps practices across technology teams, including carrying out training and writing documentation
- Develop a long-term strategy for the effective use of cloud and IaC technologies across the business
- Utilising Platform as a Service and work to Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework
- Working with Terraform to build CI/CD pipelines in Azure
- Writing Terraform templates and modules
- Working closely with key stakeholders to gain buy-in of DevOps and IaC plans and strategy
- Lead the migration of key services from VMware platform into Azure
Key skills required:
- Extensive experience in similar Azure Cloud Engineer roles
- Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service and Infrastructure as Code experience
- Scripting and automation experience with PowerShell or similar
- Strong experience with Azure DevOps
- Highly competent working with CI/CD pipelines
- Comfortable working in hybrid cloud/on-prem environments, familiar with Windows Server, SQL Server and VMware
- Ability to effectively coach colleagues on best practices
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Relevant Azure certificates
