We are currently working with a growing financial services company in Fleet that is recruiting for a Senior Systems and Support Administrator to join them on a permanent basis. This is a vital role for the company, acting as the sole face of IT systems, covering all levels of support for the business, so we are looking for somebody with excellent customer service and communication skills.
Key responsibilities:
- Responding to tickets and issues raised via service management platform, direct message and monitoring, ensuring SLAs are met and escalating issues as appropriate
- Carrying out root cause analysis and preventative measures as well as post incident reviews to ensure problems do not recur
- Reviewing any potential IT changes to ensure production will not be negatively impacted
- Installing, configuring and maintaining user hardware services
- Updating asset holdings on relevant databases
- Setting up and administering user accounts
Key skills and experience:
- Extensive IT support and systems administration experience
- Experienced supporting both Windows and Mac operating systems
- Strong understanding of Windows CMD and/or PowerShell
- Server Manager and Configuration experience
- Networking administration and maintenance experience
- Understanding of security, including firewall administration and email security practices
- Endpoint protection experience (Sophos preferable)
- ITIL certification and/or experience in ITIL environments
- The ability to effectively manage and prioritise workloads
- Experience with Asset Management (Jira Assets preferable)
