We are currently working with a professional services organisation in Lincoln that is actively recruiting for a Service Desk Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. The role will act as first point of contact for all IT support issues, with a focus on first time resolution and providing strong customer service. We are looking for somebody able to maintain ownership of issues and communicate effectively with users.
Responsibilities:
- Providing high quality first line support to users via telephone, email and walk-ups
- Managing hardware and software issues in a Microsoft environment, working with Windows 11, Windows Server 2019, Office 365 and Azure
- Ensuring speedy resolutions and high user satisfaction rates
- Managing user tickets from first contact to resolution, ensuring excellent communications throughout
- Carrying out desktop and server support where required
- Using Active Directory to set up new user accounts
- Overseeing IT assets and equipment moves
- Ensuring complete documentation of processes and procedures
Key Skills:
- 2+ years experience in a similar Service Desk role
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Extensive experience in Microsoft environments, working with Windows Server 2019, Windows 11, Active Directory, Azure, M365, VMware, Exchange 365
- LAN and WAN experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
