We are currently working with a global law firm that is actively recruiting for a Head of Data to join them on a permanent basis. This is a crucial role that will work closely with Risk & Compliance, Governance and Business Systems teams, as well as with senior management across the firm. This is a hybrid role with three days per week on-site.
Key responsibilities:
- Driving forward the development and implementation of data policies, ensuring the firm stays compliant to regulatory requirements
- Improving data consistency by establishing a standard data taxonomy and dictionary
- Ensuring critical data assets are cleansed in order to improve data reporting
- Implementing new systems including knowledge management as well as records management
- Acting as chair of the firm’s data council
- Ensuring high data quality as well as seamless system integrations
- Identify potential data-related improvements and efficiencies, carrying out implementations where possible
- Ensuring that the wider business has a strong data culture and understanding of the importance and value of data
Skills and experience required:
- Extensive experience in similar Head of Data roles
- Experience working in the legal industry
- Proven ability to create data strategy in complex environments
- The ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical teams
- Excellent stakeholder management experience, comfortable working with C-suite and partners
- A proven track record of implementing improved data management systems
- Comfortable working in a greenfield environment
