A leading Tier 2 structural engineering contractor is looking for an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to oversee structural steel projects across the UK. This is a senior level role, ideal for someone confident managing multiple steelwork packages (500+ tonnes) and delivering projects from design through to installation.

Role Overview

  • Manage the full project lifecycle: planning, design coordination, fabrication, installation and commercial delivery
  • Oversee multiple steelwork projects simultaneously
  • Monitor programmes, ensuring deadlines, quality and commercial targets are met
  • Lead client, subcontractor and internal team communication
  • Provide strong commercial and contractual oversight
  • Remote-based with 1 office day per week plus site and client visits as required

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering 500+ tonne structural steel projects
  • Strong IT skills (Word, Excel)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Solid working knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple live projects

Desirable Qualifications

  • Degree in Construction Management (or equivalent)
  • IOSH
  • CSCS Black Managers Card
  • Appointed Person (AP)
