JN Civils Ltd is a civil engineering company providing utilities infrastructure for Gas, Water, Telecoms and Electric to leaders in the utilities sector. Due to expansion, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our ever-growing team of professionals within the Company.
The Site Agent will be responsible for the overall management of construction works in order to achieve required project delivery to the customers’ objectives, whilst ensuring the works are compliant to JN Civils procedures. Site Agents are required to deliver multiple projects, to the specified quality, the required programme and to the maximum commercial performance. The Site Agent will work closely with the Contracts Manager, Purchasing/Plant Department, Quantity Surveyors and Clients Representatives and are ultimately responsible for all aspects of project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Site Management
- Assume overall responsibility for the successful delivery of projects
- Deliver the work safely and without environmental incidents
- Deliver the work to the specified quality without defects
- Ensure works are completed in line with Programme, RAMS, etc
- Ensure the commercial performance of the contract is maximised
- Manage the project programme to achieve and maintain agreed outputs and to ensure compliance with Streetworks constraints/client requirements
- Organise Labour & Plant resources to meet programme objectives (including runners, grab support, reinstatement, etc)
- Ensure works are completed in line with approved designs and specification – Temp & Permanent Works
- Allocation of resources to meet programme
- Daily pre-start briefing of site operatives
- Carrying out toolbox talks and method statement briefings
- Audit works and gangs ensure issues identified are closed out in a timely manner
- Report accidents, incidents and non-conformities
- Ensure full compliance on completion of works
- Liaise with the procurement and plant departments to ensure adequate resources to complete the tasks
- Complete weekly returns including labour returns, plant & material returns, safety report and plant inspections
- Maintain contemporary records including diary, allocation sheets, daywork records and additional works records
- Liaise closely with site QS to ensure all completed works are valued.
- Undertake an ambassadorial role representing the business to customers, public and official bodies
- Deliver end product to customer satisfaction
- Ensure defect free hand over
- Maximise project value and minimise cost
- Ensure detailed site diaries/records are completed
- Identify and highlight additional works and variations
- Identify and highlight value engineering opportunities and change
- Ensure targets for project are met whilst maintaining standards for HSQ&E
- Customers and stakeholders
- Subcontractors and suppliers
- Site teams and support departments
JN Civils Ltd have a strict Driving policy and checks to meet the criteria will take place prior to any job offer. Criteria below:
- Valid UK Driving Licence for the vehicle classification you may be required to drive
- Minimum of 3 years driving experience
- No more than 6 penalty endorsements
- No CD, CU80, DD, DR, DG, IN offences
- HGV drivers, 7.5t and above need a valid CPC Card and Driver Hour card
Pay: £40,000.00 per year
