At JN Bentley Ltd, we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Skilled Operatives who live in and around the Selby area to join an existing gang working across the wider region. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid background in civil engineering and groundworks to join a well-established and growing business.
You will have a proactive approach to work, health, and safety, with experience working within the water industry and carrying out general civil works, including concreting, deep drainage and pipe laying.
The Role
Reporting to the Lead Hand and Site Management, you will work as part of a site team delivering groundworks and civil engineering activities across construction sites predominantly within the water industry. Your role will include carrying out day‑to‑day site activities safely and efficiently, contributing to the delivery of works to programme, and maintaining high standards of quality, productivity, and health & safety.
Candidate Specification
- Proven experience working as a Skilled Operative on civil engineering or groundworks projects
- Experience in general civil works, including concrete pours, deep drainage and pipe laying
- Strong health & safety focus, with experience working within a reporting culture
- Current CSCS / CPCS / NOCN or NPORS with NVQ and relevant plant tickets
- Ability to work effectively as part of a site team
- Full UK Driving Licence essential
