We are looking for a Procurement Graduate to undertake the following role and responsibilities:
- To develop into a multi-discipline Buyer that can procure materials, subcontract packages of work, and execute external hired plant agreements.
- Procure materials and services in line with specified costs, quality, and delivery targets.
- Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers.
- Organise and schedule workload in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance to company procedures during supplier negotiations and contract award process.
- Work closely with others in the procurement function and review opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Conduct research for new suppliers and assess their competency.
- Work with the supply chain to maintain relationships, monitor performance, and ensure products/services are in line with company/client specifications.
- Prepare reports, including cost analysis.
- Contribute to the implementation of Frameworks and Service Level Agreements.
- Work closely with project teams to understand our clientβs requirements.
- Support project teams throughout the design and optioneering stages with product/trade knowledge and procurement process understanding.
- Coordinate early supplier involvement with the project teams.
- Take personal responsibility for both commercial and health and safety performance.
