With an ambitious £2.3 billion capital investment in AMP8, we are revolutionising infrastructure, sustainability, and digital transformation to protect the environment and support growing communities.

This is an opportunity to shape our People Development offering in one of the UK’s most ambitious and purpose-driven organisations. You’ll be contributing to a mission that goes beyond business performance—helping to protect the environment while enabling sustainable growth across the East of England.

In this role, you won’t just deliver development programmes; you’ll design and embed a future-focused People Development strategy that sits across our Strategic Alliances teams and directly impacts leadership capability, organisational culture, and long-term business success. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading and evolving the People Development strategy aligned to business and alliance priorities.
  • Building a scalable, future-ready development ecosystem that goes beyond traditional training programmes.
  • Translating business goals into clear leadership expectations, capability frameworks, and development pathways.
  • Working to close our current and future skills gaps using data, insight, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Owning end-to-end leadership and team development, from planning and design through to measurable business impact.
  • Coaching and advising senior leaders to enhance their effectiveness and leadership impact.
  • Embedding high-performing team principles across a complex, multi-partner environment.
  • Collaborating across internal teams and external partners to maximise development capability, including working closely with colleagues in the Anglian Water People Development team.
  • Driving innovation through modern, evidence-based learning approaches.
  • Ensuring all development activity delivers measurable value, with a strong focus on ROI and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Bring

  • People Development experience including workshop design and delivery.
  • Proven experience in an L&D Manager/Leader role, where you were working strategically.
  • Ability to work in complex and matrix environments.
  • Organisational development thinking; shaping cultures, leadership behaviours and long term capability across the business.

At @one Alliance, you’ll be part of a dynamic, forward-thinking team that is shaping the future of the UK’s water infrastructure. We offer a collaborative and innovative working environment, where your expertise will be valued and your ideas will drive meaningful change.
