MMB has been working with Yorkshire Water since MMB's creation in 1999, delivering a variety of projects from reservoir restoration and upgrades to installing technology for clean drinking water and wastewater treatment. We have several frameworks with Yorkshire Water and remain a delivery partner into AMP8, keeping our team of over 300 people busy for years to come.
Responsibilities
- Provide design support and guidance for schemes, ensuring all designs are fit for purpose and meet current legislation and standards.
- Collaborate with commercial, operational and construction teams to develop efficient, practical and safe solutions across design, construction and beyond.
- Engage with clients, manage relationships, and support them with a one-team approach to achieving their aims.
- Manage interfaces and integration of the civil design with other disciplines and produce documentation.
- Act as technical checker on project documents and undertake technical reviews across projects.
- Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes, including development and implementation of standard designs, sustainable solutions, and digital tools.
- Undertake site reviews to ensure buildability and integration with existing systems.
- Support the development of the civil engineering team, coaching and mentoring engineers to develop their skill set and identifying the right resources for projects.
What You’ll Need
- Degree in Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Chartership (CEng) with a relevant Engineering Institution.
- Experience delivering high-quality outputs in accordance with design, quality and safety standards.
- Effective communication with team members and stakeholders.
- Methodical approach to problem solving.
- A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region.
