We are recruiting for our Groundworker Apprenticeship starting in September 2025. Candidates should reside in or near Atherstone to join our local gangs. The apprenticeship lasts approximately 2 years, combining on-site work with college-based practical and theoretical learning, covering topics such as bricklaying, drainage, concreting, and pipe-laying. You will work towards achieving a Level 2 NVQ in Groundworks.

We seek enthusiastic and motivated individuals eager to start or advance their careers in Groundworks. Please include a CV with your application, detailing your qualifications, industry tickets, and training, along with a statement explaining your interest in this apprenticeship at Bentleys. You will be assigned an experienced mentor within a Groundworks gang to gain site experience, alongside college learning covering all aspects of Groundworks.

The program includes weekly or block college attendance, with tasks such as pipe-laying, concreting, ducting, and deep drainage, mainly within the water industry. This apprenticeship is fully funded, offering competitive pay and employment benefits. Initial training includes a company induction, CSCS touchscreen certification, and health & safety training, manual handling, working at heights, and water hygiene. Further plant and core skills training will prepare you to become a General Operative upon completion. A valid driving license is essential.
