We have several frameworks with Yorkshire Water and remain a delivery partner into AMP8, keeping our team of over 300 people busy for years to come.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll work on a diverse portfolio of Yorkshire Water projects that make a real difference to customers, communities and the environment.

These include clean water and wastewater treatment schemes, network infrastructure projects such as mains renewals, reservoir safety works, environmental improvement projects and storm overflow reduction programmes.

You will be involved throughout the entire project lifecycle, from early contractor involvement, optioneering and tender negotiations through to design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.

You will help ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

The role of a Quantity Surveyor includes

  • Ensuring robust cost management processes are in place, providing accurate and timely reports, data and analysis.
  • Supporting procurement activities and supply chain engagement.
  • Assisting with subcontractor and supplier management, including tendering and procurement.
  • Working closely with delivery teams to identify and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Supporting clients to maximise opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships.

What you'll need

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or related discipline (preferred).
  • Experience and knowledge of NEC contracts.
  • Experience in Quantity Surveying.
  • Experience supporting the commercial management of construction projects through the full project lifecycle.
