We have a continued secured framework with Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water that will last up to eight years, this will see MMB tackle projects across the DCC region covering both clean and wastewater treatment sites, as well as below ground assets, reservoirs and nature-based solutions. After securing our first framework with DCC at the beginning of AMP6, our presence in Wales has grown significantly, directly employing over 270 colleagues in the country across all roles, from frontline construction to design and management positions.
The role of a Process Commissioning Engineer includes:
- Plan and deliver commissioning strategy for process plant, including sequencing, FAT/SAT oversight, witness testing and client‑facing commissioning meetings
- Support pre‑construction through surveys, asset data collection and coordinating commissioning deliverables with subcontractors
- Manage construction‑phase activities such as outage/takeover planning, programme management, maintenance and client liaison
- Produce and review RAMS, maintain strong process/COSHH safety standards and drive QA through ITPs, acceptance documents, training materials and completion records
- Lead the commissioning of process assets on site and work as part of the wider commissioning and delivery team
- Undertake laboratory testing on sites to determine performance measures
- Mentor Apprentices and Graduate Process Engineers while delivering all commissioning plan outputs
- Work with key subcontractors on their deliveries, installations and commissioning procedures.
What you’ll need:
- CSCS and SSSTS
- HNC / Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
- Understand civil engineering principles and MEICA construction
- Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
- A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region
What would be desirable:
- Awareness of Process, Client and WIMES standards
- Understanding of Process Instrumentation and Drawings (P&ID)
- Experience working with process technologies and water industry assets would be beneficial
- May suit persons with a supervisory background in Process Plant Commissioning or Installation
