Mott Mac Donald Bentley are recruiting for a Quality Manager to join the Anglian Water @One Alliance.

What You'll Be Doing

As Quality Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of assets delivered across our capital programme.

Working closely with project teams, suppliers and delivery partners, you'll champion a right-first-time culture, assuring that quality standards are consistently achieved from project inception through to final handover.

You'll be a visible leader across our projects, providing expert guidance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and helping to eliminate recurring defects through collaborative problem solving and data-led decision making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead quality assurance activities across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects.
  • Carry out inspections and witness testing of products and assets both on-site and within the supply chain.
  • Support delivery teams in implementing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and quality processes.
  • Identify, investigate and help resolve quality issues, ensuring corrective actions are effectively managed and closed out.
  • Analyse quality performance trends and provide meaningful reporting to support continuous improvement.
  • Work alongside commissioning teams to assure asset quality at handover.
  • Collaborate with supply chain partners to improve standards and reduce repeat defects.
  • Drive lessons learned, root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives.
  • Promote quality best practice through participation in the @one Alliance Quality Community.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, building strong relationships across project teams and stakeholder groups.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who combines technical expertise with strong communication and influencing skills.

Essential

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience within Quality Management, Quality Assurance or Construction Quality Control.
  • Experience working within the construction, engineering or infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Auditing experience.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities.
  • Ability to confidently challenge and influence at all levels.
  • Strong IT skills, including databases and Microsoft Excel.
  • CSCS Card.
  • A proactive, visible and collaborative approach to leadership.

Desirable

  • Experience within the water or wider utilities sector.
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor qualification.
  • CQI Chartered Member status, or working towards Chartered membership.
  • Knowledge of LEAN, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Project management qualifications such as Prince2 or PMP.
  • Experience within complex, multi-disciplinary project environments.
