We’re looking for a Resource Manager to join our Resources team. Every year we invest upward of £1 million in training, delivering a variety of practical hands-on courses to enable our people to work safely and competently on site.

As part of the Resources team, you will play a key role in managing the workforce to support site‑based operational teams, while also coordinating and delivering training across the business. You will be responsible for resource management across the Northwest of England and Scotland for a range of clients.

As Resource Manager you will:

  • Deploy labour resources
  • Manage weekly resource planning, skills and development
  • Ensure compliance with site safety procedures
  • Maintain and understand training matrix requirements
  • Support Unit/Framework programmes and deliverables
  • Assist with operational and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Work closely with other support teams such as HR, Plant, and SHEQ to manage resources
  • Establish, improve and develop new gangs
  • Manage and plan for gang succession

What you’ll need:

  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business
  • Engage confidently with senior managers and Contract Managers
  • Demonstrate strong planning, organisation and presentation skills
  • Identify Health & Safety and cost‑related risks and opportunities
  • Strong negotiation and relationship‑building skills
  • Experienced in mentoring, coaching and developing others
  • Strong problem‑solving ability with good IT skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
