The People Assistant will provide administrative support across key People processes and projects, sharing responsibility for the administration of the employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to leavers.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and collaborative People team supporting colleagues across the firm, while developing broad HR experience.

Key Responsibilities


People Operations:
  • Act as a first point of contact for routine queries into the People inbox, escalating sensitive or complex matters appropriately
  • Preparing accurate offer letters and contracts and standard changes to employee terms
  • Assisting with onboarding processes, Rise pathway administration and the organisation of day-one inductions
  • Assist with the coordination of employee and partner benefits schemes, including employee awards and gifts
  • Assisting with offboarding administration and leave calculations
  • Supporting wider administrative activity across People Operations as required and covering for People Coordinator.
Data and systems:
  • Accurate data management on Rippling (HRIS), Learn (LMS) and HR trackers, including joiner, leavers and changes administration
  • Assist with reporting and handling employee data confidentially and in line with internal processes and data protection expectations
  • Supporting monthly payroll preparation
  • Identifying opportunities to improve templates, trackers and administrative processes to support a smoother employee experience.
People development processes:
  • Administration and logistics of training courses and learning and development processes, including diary management
  • Administrative support for annual appraisal, promotion and salary review processes.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


  • Strong administrative experience, ideally with around 2 years in a HR or People Operations role
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to accurately input, manage and maintain data and e-filing
  • Ability to manage own workload and time efficiently, while working at pace
  • Ability to proactively support others in a busy team environment
  • Strong sense of initiative, with the confidence to raise issues when necessary
  • Excellent communication skills, including dealing directly with internal stakeholders and new joiners when required
  • Experience using Excel, Microsoft Word and Outlook, with confidence working across HR systems, trackers and process-driven administration
  • Awareness of employment law would be beneficial
  • Experience within a professional services environment is helpful but not essential.
