We are seeking a multi-skilled Mechanical Technician to support the build, assembly, and manufacture of bespoke machinery and mechanical systems.
This role is hands‑on and workshop-based, suited to someone who enjoys working with metal, machinery, and physical systems rather than purely theoretical design.
This position focuses on fabrication, assembly, installation, and practical problem-solving.
You will work closely with mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and technicians to turn designs and drawings into robust, real‑world machines.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble mechanical structures, machines, and components
- Operate fabrication equipment such as press brakes, laser cutters, drills, and saws
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Assemble machines and sub-assemblies from as‑built and manufacturing drawings
- Support mechanical installation, alignment, and commissioning activities
- Modify and rework components where required during prototyping or build
- Assist with fault‑finding and mechanical improvements on existing systems
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
- Must Haves
- Strong hands‑on mechanical skills
- Experience operating fabrication machinery (e. g. press brake, laser cutter, or similar)
- Confident using hand tools and power tools
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and as‑built documentation

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Welding experience (MIG / TIG / fabrication welding)
