We are seeking a multi-skilled Mechanical Technician to support the build, assembly, and manufacture of bespoke machinery and mechanical systems.

This role is hands‑on and workshop-based, suited to someone who enjoys working with metal, machinery, and physical systems rather than purely theoretical design.

This position focuses on fabrication, assembly, installation, and practical problem-solving.

You will work closely with mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and technicians to turn designs and drawings into robust, real‑world machines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble mechanical structures, machines, and components
  • Operate fabrication equipment such as press brakes, laser cutters, drills, and saws
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Assemble machines and sub-assemblies from as‑built and manufacturing drawings
  • Support mechanical installation, alignment, and commissioning activities
  • Modify and rework components where required during prototyping or build
  • Assist with fault‑finding and mechanical improvements on existing systems
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment

  • Strong hands‑on mechanical skills
  • Experience operating fabrication machinery (e. g. press brake, laser cutter, or similar)
  • Confident using hand tools and power tools
