Project Engineer

We are working with a leading provider of advanced automation systems, delivering innovative, bespoke solutions across several industrial sectors. They design, build, and support high-specification automation systems for some of the world’s biggest brands.
This is a rapidly growing business where career progression is available.
You will need to have some experience of project managing the full life cycle in a similar engineering/manufacturing sector. Training and development will be given to ensure you are support in this business and to get familiar with the automation machinery.
This will also give you the opportunity to work on high-value, custom automation projects where you'll gain hands-on experience across the full engineering lifecycle from requirements gathering and design, through to build, installation, and customer handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of bespoke automation projects.
- Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, project schedules, and risk assessments.
- Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to ensure project milestones are met.
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to support smooth project delivery.
- Participate in design reviews, system testing, and onsite installations.
- Maintain accurate records of progress, changes, and engineering decisions.
What We’re Looking For
- A degree (or HND/HNC) in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or similar).
- Strong interest in automation and engineering project delivery.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
