We are proud to be working with an engineering business based in a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in West Lancashire. This growing and innovative organisation designs and manufactures highly specialised high-temperature processing systems for global use across sectors such as healthcare, defence, energy and infrastructure.
As the company continues to expand into new markets, we are now looking for a capable and enthusiastic Installation Engineer to join their site team. This role is critical to the successful delivery of projects around the world - with involvement in mechanical assembly on-site, system installation, and commissioning at customer locations across the US, Caribbean, Europe and the Middle East.
Key Responsibilities:- Assemble high-specification thermal processing equipment at the UK site prior to dispatch
- Travel to customer sites globally to install, commission, and hand over systems
- Ensure mechanical systems are fitted to specification, safely and to deadline
- Carry out functional testing and support commissioning activities
- Maintain accurate documentation and report any technical issues or design feedback
- Support customer training and provide basic technical guidance on-site where required
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure smooth project delivery
- Multi-skilled engineering background with hands-on installation or assembly experience
- Could be working in a maintenance or site-based role looking for more of a varied role with travel
- Previous experience in field service, equipment commissioning or site-based build/installation work but not essential
- Able to read technical drawings, schematics and assembly instructions
- Comfortable working internationally and adapting to different environments and cultures
- Experience working with PLCs
- Good communication skills and professional manner with clients
- Full UK driving licence and valid passport required
- Base salary £35,000 - £38,000 OTE £55k+
